Outcomes:

1. To use Imagination to create original idea and rhyming verse

2. Understand Creative process: Discuss – Plan – Write plot – Characters - Rehearse

3. Contribute ideas to enhance group work (if you choose to work in a group or pair)

For this project you are asked to create your own Revolting Rhyme.

This means that you will write an original piece of art and perform showing application of skills and techniques for this art form. DEADLINE 28th October

  • You could base your story on an existing tale that you know well Or create a new tale.

OR- if you are struggling 

  • You can continue with the example you were working on last week adding new verses.

  • Your Revolting Rhyme should have at least 3 verses of original ideas each verse with a minimum of 6 lines each.

  • You need to show evidence of rhyming verse in your work.

You have 4 Tasks to complete- 1- 4 are outlined below.


Create a new BLOG POST for each task ( E.g Task 1-Artistic vision)
 Copy and Paste the marking criteria attached to each task & the Learning Question as your TITLE on your BLOG POST

For Example: 

Task 1- Artistic Vision Ci: identify an artistic intention. (Can you highlight criteria in RED on your blogger page)

Learning Question: How can you create your own revolting Rhyme or Story?

Task 1- Artistic Vision- Ci: identify an artistic intention

Artistic intention simple means your ideas vision for your work in this case your Rhyme

Outline ideas for Rhyme with imaginative characters and plot lines

Create a brainstorm or mind map like the diagram shown below to complete these activities. You might have to do this on Microsoft word then copy on your BLOG. 

A) PLOT- type this heading in the middle and come up with ideas of  plots, events that are key to the story that you would like to include in your Revolting Rhyme

                                                                                                                TASK 2- PROCESS & PRODUCT

Bi: demonstrate the acquisition and development of the skills and techniques of the art form studied- by applying literary devices, language and rhyming verses to create rhyme

Cii: identifies alternative and perspective - editing and revising of lines 

A) Under this task heading show evidence of your ideas- This means verses you have written or constructed. 

TITLE; RED IS NEARLY  DEAD


VERSE 1;

1.the wolf Is about to have dinner

2.he cooked her up so she'd simmer

3.the wolf said "some good meat"

4. as he glared  "what a plate so neat"

 5. immedaltley grandmas dead

6. red  wondering why she not  in bed?

7.the girl was full with hunger

8.she walked as she would stutter

9.hungry  and starving like a lion

10.she  seriously felt like dying


VERSE 2;

1.poor girl found a small  shop

2.then on the ground she  went DROP

3.fainted for 2 long hours 

4. all she was thinking, was flowers

5.waking up with food in her hand

6.it tasted rather moldy ,bland

7.when red was  finally done eating

8.she got out running like leaping

9. fearing  she went way too far 

10.riding ran fast ending with a  HUGE scar


VERSE 3;

1.big scar on her devastated face

2.looking up was a bear near her place

3. very shocked walking back slowly

4.it was quiet.she felt lonely

5.red had barley escaped it

6.luckily she didn't get ripped

7.finding a village to stay 

8. sadly was a long distance away

9.scared like a  baby chicken

10.snow near her ,began to thicken

verse 4:

 the thickening  deep snow

red in the distance saw a big glow

Walking and walking for an  hour

She couldn't find a tower

Red riding fainted

The death reaper will no longer be awaited

Red riding is finally  dead

They put her in her funeral bed


B) Editing for each lesson worked on creating rhymes

Copy and paste examples of lines that you changed . Have examples of what the original line was and what the new version is.

1. [the wolf is about to have dinner]    used to be [wolfy wants to eat dinner]

2.[the wolf said ooo some good meat] used to be[the wolf was about to eat some meat]

3.[as he glared what a plate so neat] used to be [yummy some meat]



This will demonstrate your progress for criteria Cii.

 Avoid simply just delete  lines that are no longer working, list then under this heading, to show progress.

I already did that and improved the lines and saw which lines worked or not and im happy with what I have



Extension task 

Write a rhyming verse to introduce the main character

1.red riding so sad

2.she dosnt even smile and be glad

3.her parents are dead

4.they didnt have food to be fed

5.red riding ran away

6.to a cottage far away

7.she has brown hair

8.like a forest bear

9.her coat was shredded

10.a new one she wanted and dreaded


TASK 3- Performance

Aii: demonstrate knowledge of the art form studied

Bii: demonstrate the application of skills and techniques to create, perform and/or present art. Using the voice, rhythm, expressions creatively

A)Perform your Revolting Rhyme

B) Produce a recording of you performing the  Revolting Rhyme you created. This will need to  uploaded  on MB dropbox.

C) Final Idea- Include the final version of your written lines of your Revolting Rhyme her on this page

Diii: Evaluate elements of the Revolting  Rhymes

Complete written reflection of group evaluation of the process and product (the final written Rhyme Or your performance).
